Holy Thursday

As the reality of the path He was called to climb bore down increasingly on His heart, His flesh and mind, Jesus brought His closest friends to the familiar garden grove.

But this night, everything was different.

Dialogue of Agony

Yeshua : “Father!…FA-THER!…ABBA…

Some. other. way.

ANY other way.

Why?

Why this way?

Why only this way?

The excruciation of the Cross?

My God, My God,

Why will You forsake Me?

I have never known a second without Your love,

And now

At this hour

In My greatest need

You will turn Your back on Me?

I Am Your Beloved

from all eternity,

I have never sinned,

I have never disappointed You,

I have never turned My back on You! “

Father God: “My Son, You still are

And will always be,

My Beloved.

But this is the purpose for which You were born

You will need to become

The curse

For all humanity’s sin.

And when My back

is completely turned away

and all You feel

is My wrath,

Know that My own heart will be breaking too.

I will hear Your cries

and I will not be able to answer You.

I will see You, My Precious Son,

being whipped

and spit at in Your face.

I will hear their jeers and vile words

the pounding of the nails,

Your shrieks of agony,

and I will have to restrain Myself

from swooping in and saving You.

I will smell the blood

flowing out of Your precious body,

I will feel

each. excruciating. breath. You. gasp. for.

I will see the shame

of Your

nakedness

And every bit of it

will shatter My heart.

I will fill with righteous anger

as they pour their hatred out on You,

O Son of My love,

But it is You

that I will abandon

and inflict My wrath upon

O My spotless Son.

It will be

the greatest act of injustice

ever!

The punishment incurred by

The hate of Your betrayer,

the mocking blood-thirsty crowds,

those who condemn You without cause,

Your crucifiers

The punishment that even Your closest followers,

Your earthly mother and father,

That all humanity

Of all ages deserves,

All. of. that.

I will thrust

on You.

You Who alone have kept

every one of My commands

with a pure and perfect heart,

You, my Son,

will be

their Passover Lamb.

The Righteous

slaughtered for the unrighteous,

to bring sinners

back to Us

If there could have been

any. other. way. My Son,

I would have rescued You from all of this.

I can only promise that

You will see the results

of the travail of Your soul,

And You…and I…

Will. be. satisfied.

For every one of those

who repent and believe

will be with us

Now and

Forever!”

Yeshua: (His sweat falling to the ground as drops of blood)

 “My Father,

if it is not possible

for this cup

to be taken away unless I drink it,

then

not My will

but Yours

be done.”

  1. Karen: you have such understanding and depth of the Bible’s verses and passages. Your poem is for eternity. With love and thank you for sharing about this sacred time.

    • I am forever indebted to the Lord Jesus Christ for climbing down into my pit of sin, taking it upon Himself, suffering His Father’s righteous wrath for what I have done…so that by His blood payment, I could be completely made clean and by trusting in Him, be born anew into His family, as His own beloved daughter.

All I did was come to realize I wasn’t holy like God is holy…that I desperately needed His spotless Son’s death as the Perfect Sacrifice for my sins.
I asked Him to come into my heart and be my Savior and just as He promised, He did. I owe Him everything.

Thank you for always being so kind, so encouraging, dear Lynn ♥️ So many times, when I have needed it, your faithful friendship has touched my heart.

Thank you, dear friend. Blessed Good Friday ✝️🩸☝🏼
