We believe in shopping for the holidays with small, woman-owned, and purposeful organizations that make a difference in their community.  This is a list that can help you do this.  When we buy from shops where empowerment of vulnerable groups is supported, a community can grow and be sustained.

Mud Girls Studio  Empowering Women. Transforming Lives through Art.  This studio trains disadvantaged women to make ceramics and tiles and each purchase supports a woman on her journey out of poverty and towards self-sufficiency.  Located in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Preemptive Love Shop This shop sells refugee-made goods that creates jobs and reduce the risk of war.   Soaps, knitted bears, and t-shirts and journals that have amazing quotes on love are sold in this shop.  You will love it!

Thistle Farms  We have been a supporter of this organization and shop for many years, as they provide women with a way out of sex trafficking by providing an opportunity to heal, grow and learn business skills to survive.

Global Goods Partners  Buy handmade–Change Women’s Lives.  This is a place that has jewelry, accessories, desk pieces, kitchenwares, holiday and kids products that focuses on supporting women artisans in Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Urban Undercover A woman-owned business focused on travel accessories, leggings, underwear, and inspiration for women to get the confidence to learn new things and travel the world for good.

The Good Shop this is a place where you can shop at thousands of stores and make charitable donations at the same time.  Recently, I shopped at a department store and my favorite charity, No Kid Hungry received a donation.
