In the early spring, the Northern Hemisphere slowly emerges from the long slumber of winter. The first signs are seen in the trees as the buds appear. A tree is a faithful witness of nature.
There is a phenomenon called a “Cathedral of Trees,” where trees align and create a canopy of trees that looks like a cathedral. Sometimes, it is natural, and arborists create others. It is where I feel God’s presence all around in the presence of the forest of trees.
I found this one in Minnesota on the edge of a sunflower farm late in August 2019. The street signs were glaring, but the Cathedral of Trees was clear. I thought I would share a short video of trees to inspire you to look out your window as Robert Frost reminds us to and a great rendition of “For the Beauty of the Earth.”
