He was standing in his kitchen
2:15pm last Monday
Heard the screeching of brakes
An approaching rumbling
Then the CRASH
His refrigerator lurched from the wall
It’s door flung open
Shoving him into the kitchen island
Bruising his thigh
Two large windows spewed glass
2 x 6’s insulation sheetrock hit the floor
Cops firefighters EMS and neighbors
Rushed to his front yard
Where fence lay broken
And beer cans had been tossed
The Ford pickup truck
Driver and passenger
Had stopped 5 feet away from him
Halted by the strength of the stucco
And a mighty invisible arm!
By God’s great grace
No one was hurt
At the hospital where he was checked out Driver was arrested on his 3rd DWI
Seeing the photos
God spoke to the shaken Mom
“I am his shield and his exceeding great reward.”
