Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem allows us to reflect on our lives and to be His witness.

This Lent, we invite you to be a faithful witness. Our Lenten Blog will share stories of deep commitment to faith-filled living, bold and courageous action, empathy and compassion for others, our own experiences of wonder and awe, and opportunities to be God’s witness in daily life.  

An Invitation to Write for the 2025 Lenten Blog

We invite you to write for the 2025 Lenten Blog and be a Faithful Witness. 

How do you see the beauty that God lays before us in your busy life? Lent allows us to center our steps and see this beauty in our cities, nature, art, music, literature, and simple daily experiences and actions. Being more aware of our surroundings and seeing our world with awe this Lenten season will help us cultivate a more profound understanding of our faith and transform us into action.  

Here are some places to help inspire you to write for our Lenten Blog:

Scripture:  Psalms 65:8-13 and Revelation 3:15

Guide for Writing for Our Blog

We have an impressive number of visitors to our blog daily, so we need a post for each day of Lent.   Please submit your posts early. 

Here are the guidelines for your blog posts:

• Keep your submission 450 words or less. You can do so if you would like to submit a few blogs. 
• Use short paragraphs.
• Pictures are welcome in JPEG, and I can build a gallery for you. Watermarks are welcome to protect your work, and you could also use lower resolution if you prefer. 
• We strive to share original work, but please ensure it is appropriately credited if you use a quote or scripture.
• A musical addition is welcome.
• We can accept submissions in multiple formats: Word, .doc, .mov, jpeg, and audio files. However, PDF versions are not the best; they can lose formatting during the transfer.
