Helping Humanity Rise

Today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of the holy season of Lent, a time of reflection and prayer. During Lent, many people choose to give something up, but no sacrifice we make could compare to what Christ has sacrificed for us.

But what can we do during Lent that reflects the light of Jesus?

“Every single time you help somebody stand up, you are helping humanity rise.”  Steve Maraboli

How can WE help humanity rise?

Our blog will share stories, poems, artwork, spoken word, music, etc.. about kindness, the backbone of helping humanity rise. Our stories this year will be from children, young adults, families, and all ages, as we reach out beyond our Women’s Ministry to find these moments of kindness.

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18

We genuinely hope that the Lenten journey this year will lift you and make you more aware of moments of kindness. And we hope these stories will inspire you to find ways to give kindness too.

Thank you for joining us for the 2023 Lent Blog, Stories of Kindness to Build a Better World.

  1. Lent has always been my most meaningful time of the Church year. I look forward to the thoughts and prayers of the season.
