Happy Easter!
“Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up. So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all”. (Gal 6:9-10)
Lent means embracing changes in our lives and our communities. With God’s help, change (mostly involuntary), is the catalyst that results in phenomenal personal growth. Just as Jesus wandered 40 days into the desert, reflecting, praying and preparing for his death, our friends are the engines of encouragement that we need to carry us through our journeys in the wilderness.
We must take time to pause, pray, and open our minds and hearts to others. Listening for God’s guidance and counsel enables us to become the people God created us to be. It’s amazing how friends, God’s helpers, appear just when we need them.
None of us do it alone. “We Rise”, when we care for our own, and when we care for our brethren in need. The end of Lent, Jesus’ resurrection, Easter, symbolize new hope and new life for us all.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”(1 Peter 1:3)
