Today is the day to celebrate with a King Cake, dance in the streets, parade around like no one is watching, watch a parade, catch a throw, or enjoy a pancake supper. Or a combination of 2 or more.
Whether you call it Mardi Gras Day (France, Canada, and the US), Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day (UK, Commonwealth countries, and some in the US), Carnival (Brazil, the Caribbean, and Latin America), Paczki Day (Poland), or any other of the terms, today is the day to indulge.
As you enjoy today and get all of the partying out, we will shift to Lent tomorrow to “Cultivate Courage” and renew our spirituality and faith.
