Finding Hope in the Forever Friends

I have a dear friend:  actually, she is more like a sister to me.

We became friends when our young families left our home states for new jobs and adventures. Fate, or God, had us move into apartments, sharing a stoop while our families looked for a new home. We were friends and close and had fun together. Then, my family and I moved half a world away for 10 years.

While we kept in touch, it wasn’t often or regular.

We have reconnected in the last few years; although we still live far apart, we are so connected.  She or I will reach out when our “spidey senses” tingle and we are always correct.  I know she is always there as she knows I’m always there.

We are sharing our light. We know when the other needs a lift or some hope.

Who is the friend you need to reconnect with?

We all have them. I am so thankful for my friend and cannot imagine how I would have survived without her after my years away. She brings hope and light to my life, and I hope I do the same for her.

I challenge you to reconnect with a friend you haven’t talked to.  Share your hope and share your light.  The world needs us to be connected right now.
