Be Strong. Be Courageous.

Our Amaryllis toppled over during Christmas Dinner.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

As my family settled into our Christmas Dinner for 2021, we heard one of the Amaryllis topple over and crash onto the granite countertop. It lost a few of its leaves but survived.

Unfortunately, it was not the first crash of this Amaryllis, as the last time it did, the pot it was in shattered.  My Dad cleaned up the broken shards, and the Amaryllis stood again until our Christmas Dinner.

I think this Amaryllis is trying to remind us that we need to find courage during these challenging times.  And for so many of us, we look to the Bible for those words of encouragement and hope.

It was such a pleasure to share the inspiring stories of people finding hope through periods of darkness.  Thank you to all who shared their stories.   And to all those followers who commented and liked the posts during the Advent season.

Thank you, and God Bless You!

  1. Thanks, Marcie for making it so we could take in these stories and thoughts, musical pieces, natural beauty and words of Holy Scripture, as we journeyed through Advent to the Hope born on Christmas morn!

I received an Amaryllis as a prize in a family game. It’s a pink variegated. I’ve only one once before a long time ago. This will be a great object lesson of Christ who brings new life out of darkness and what is hopeless apart from His work in us!

May this new year being fulfilling opportunities to you! ♥️2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣2️⃣♥️
