God Made me Tall and Straight

Recently, I have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis.  This was shocking to me since I have always been proud of myself for being tall with a good posture.  I found out that Asian women are more prone to Osteoporosis. This reminded me of seeing many Korean elderly women with bent backs in Korea many years ago.

I frantically researched supplements, drank milk, joined a gym, and worked out 3-4 times per week.  I did not want to take traditional medicines with many side effects.  Then I came across Dr. Patricia Muehsam’s book, Beyond Medicine.  She discussed how our body cannot heal unless you have a peace of mind.

So now, I go for walks.  As I walk, I look up to see all these tall and straight trees in Central Park. I walk with a mantra, God made me tall and straight just like these trees.

  1. Hi Sooknam, Lovely!! Trees are so, so wonderful! Beautiful beings to accompany you on your walks. And I guess, every so often if you want, you can take a break and climb one, just to get a bigger view of the world:) Blessings to you!
