Day 6: Some Musical Inspiration for our Journey

As we walkthrough the Advent Season, we pass through the darkest days of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.  This week, snow will fall in places that you do not normally see snow, Houston and New Orleans and ultimately will hit New England.

And while my playlist is filled with Christmas music mostly, there are times when I need to add some songs of hope, love and courage.

Enjoy as we wait expectantly…

What a Wonderful World sung by Playing for Change

Something Inside so Strong by the Bala Brothers

Ode to Joy in a rather unique street session.

Fight Song by Rachel Platten

Brave by Sarah Bareilles

Wade in the Water sung by Same Cooke and the Soul Stirrers

Memories, even your most precious ones, fade surprisingly quickly. But I don_t go along with that. The memories I value most, I don_t ever see them fading. (1)

Prayer Warriors:

Please join me in praying for California this week, as the wildfires in the Los Angeles/Ventura areas are continuing to race through neighborhoods and affect thousands of people and animals.  Dear God, we ask that you give strength and keep the first responders safe and for containment of the fires.  Amen
