By Maggie Moran
A Wondrous Night of sparkling light,
To one so new to earth;
A glowing church alive with song,
To mark the Baby’s birth.
Magic streets that dance with light,
And frosty window panes;
Balsam firs in fragrant, homes,
All dressed in candy canes.
A jolly man all-clad in red,
Enchanted and all-knowing;
Pajamed-feet, on creaky stairs,
Spy stockings overflowing.
Oh little one, my precious gift,
So young and yet, so wise;
You’ve brought, the wonder back to me…
Seeing Christmas through your eyes.
